My favourite deck. Can stand against anything (and trust me, it did withstand the test). I don't use it in tourneys only because it has a huge potential for dead draws:

Monsters (21):
3x Stardust assault mode
3x Assault beast
3x Flamvell dog
3x Flamvell magician
3x UFO turtle
1x sangan
1x summoner monk
1x Krebons
1x Psychic commander
1x Battle fader
1x assault mercenary

Spells (12):
Dark hole
Monster reborn
Giant trunade
2x MST
Cold wave
Mind control
2x pot of A
1x assault teleport
1x magical mallet
1x Instant fusion

Traps (7):
3x assault mode activate
1x solemn
1x mirror
2x dimensional prison

Fusion deck:
3x stardust
1x each (Zombie warrior, repear on the nightmare, and darkfire dragon) for instant fusion
Other general synch monsters (red dragon, blackrose, goyo, etc)

Side deck:

1x Assault tele and 1x magical mallet (had this deck for ages, still trying to decide between the two)
gorz and tragoedia (also between them and battle fader)
Starlight road (find it of limited use, but have to side it in a stardust deck)
Rekindling
Plaguespread zombie
Torrential
Dust tornado
Emergency teleport

Wouldn't it be easier to focus on the 5 + 3 = 8 synch instead of the 4 + 4 = 8 synch due to the fact that there are so many 5 star special summonable monsters (Cyber Dragon, The Tricky, Oracle of the Sun and possibly Anteatereatingant / Vice Dragon) combined with resilient 3 star tuners such as Chaos-End Master, Eccentric Boy, Gale the Whirlwind, Dark Resonator, and Psychic Commander. Using the 5 + 3 method, you get a much higher chance of getting out stardust on the first turn and setting your assault mode activate so that your opponents pesky Bottomless Trap Holes and Torrentials and such wont destroy your Synchro Material. Stardust assault mode decks I see mostly use the 5 + 3 method, but its up to you, i think it might be faster. GL

You know, I'll give it a shot and see how it goes.
In defense of my deck though, this specific 4+4 format has been marvelously working for me because the monsters involved are durable. Firedog is decent beatstick and UFO turtle can block up to 3 attacks while keeping a monster on the field.
Also, flamvell magician in this format can be summoned by UFO turtle, firedog, and summoner monk (which can be searched by sangan), so i actually almost always get my stardust once or twice / duel.
Thanks celtic for the suggestion, i'll see how the 5+3 works for me.

Sooo, I made a 5+3 stardust deck. Yes, it's faster, and less reliable on me or my opponent attacking to be able to special summon, but still don't know if the deck is actually working better.

2x dark resonator

2x the tricky
1x chaos sorcerer (ya, many lights and darks here)
